THE THIRD AGE

The Age of Decay

After the defeat of The Mother of the Wild and her children during the Battle of Light and the Ascension of the New Gods, a great sickness spread over the world of Anakainosis. The great cities crumbled, socities fell into disarray, and the Wild spread across the land. Without the Old Gods or the New Gods in place, communication between Kingdoms withered and died. Great alliances were broken, trade reduced, and for those who had trusted in the strength of society, the world became a dangerous place to exist. By the end of the Third Age, Kingdoms began to expand their sights past their borders. Trade was reignited and all were welcome as more numbers in establishments at the edge of civilization meant increased safety. While the mixing of cultures was encouraged, the rulers stoked the flames of wars with aggressive causes: reclaiming long lost areas of enterprise, expanding borders, and laying claim to as much land as possible.
