OTHER PLANES

The Farthest Reaches of Reality

Other Planes of Existence have been known to interact with the Material Plane in Anakainosis. While there is much less known about these Planes, there is no doubt that caution should be maintained when faced with such a possibility. Faerie, known in certain songs as the Feywild, is the home Plane of Faeries. From Pixies to ArchFey to tricksters that lure mortals into traps, the clever and chaotic species are found in Anakainosis in areas of intensely natural and old magic. Wodes, Oasises, Hidden Waterfalls... those who wander in pristine wild settings must be on high alert for Faerie magic. Unlike naturally occuring rifts leading to other Planes of Existence, creatures from The Abyss actively rip and tear through to Anakainosis. These are malicious afronts and meant to be used as doorways for evil to claw its way into our world. Rifts leading to The Abyss are found in areas of intensely magical preparation. Whether a ritual is taking place or took place sometime in the past, The Abyss searches for these weakened seams in Multiplanar space. Once opened, a tear into The Abyss might take a significant amount of effort to close. Similar to The Abyss, The Nine Hells are not easily accessible from Anakainosis. A significant amount of time and energy needs to be put toward creating such a rift. Devils and Warlocks serving dark masters might be culprits in creating new rifts, or opening old ones, but these acts are fairly easy to discover compared to other rifts due to the magical footprint needed to create and maintain these rifts. The Underdark is more like Faerie in that it is not uncommon for an adventurer to find they've accidentally wandered into the Plane while exploring Anakainosis. Existing in pockets below underground caverns and dungeons, such as the Shimmering Mines or even the floor of Bone Bottom, the Underdark is a dangerous consequence for those creatures that delve too deeply. What terrors exist in this vile Plane are mysteries and horrors only few have survived to speak of, and even rarer will one of them do so.
