THE MATERIAL PLANE

The World We Know

While Anakainosis and the rest of the people, places, and things within are detailed in depth in other areas of this Wiki, let us discuss what the Material Plane, the Mundane World, Anakainosis is and how it exists within the context of other Planes of Existence.

The Material Plane is locked on two sides by uncrossable mountain ranges. If anyone were to attempt to cross over these mountains, they would no longer exist on the Material Plane. Their ability to return would be lost, and their soul and body would transfer to a place of eternal nothingness. In short: Nothing exists beyond the edges of the map. There are places that exist beyond the reality of the map, but the world is big enough for any adventuring party to enjoy an almost endless amount of time and fun within its realm. I feel like I'm breaking character here and putting in a game rule here, but essentially if you don't want to play in this world, you don't have to. But a lot of time and energy when into building this world as it is. Asking me or anyone else to build additional sections to this world is unfair of the work that has already been put into what exists.

Now, what if you want your character to travel to the Greyhawk or the Forgotten Realms. Great! That's totally fine! You're allowed to have the character appear in these settings and any other setting, but this setting does not have a direct connection to those or any other settings. It is meant to live separately and independently.
